  • This special issue is affiliated to Euro Working Group on Transportation (EWGT) conference 2024, and papers must build on full papers submitted to – and accepted for – EWGT.
  • The paper must be formatted according to the general guidelines of “Transportmetrica A: Transportation Science”
  • Deadline for first submission: 15th October, 2024  Extended to 31st March, 2025
  • Deadline for first review: 15th December, 2024  Extended to 30th June, 2025
  • Deadline for second revised submission: 28th February, 2025  Extended to 31st August, 2025
  • Deadline for second review/approval of manuscript: 30th March, 2025  Extended to 30th November, 2025
  • Final manuscript: 30th April, 2025  Extended to 31st January, 2026.

Case Studies on Transport Policies

Micromobility: Transforming Urban Transport Landscapes
  • Submitted articles for this special issue must not have been previously published or currently submitted for consideration for publication elsewhere. For publication, all submissions must be original. Submission process and papers must adhere to the normal author guidelines of Case Studies on Transport Policy,
  • All submissions to this SI should be submitted via the Case Studies on Transport Policy online submission system:
  • When you submit your paper to this SI, please choose article type “EWGT 2024-CSTP”. Otherwise your submission will be handled as a regular manuscript.

Transportation Planning and Technology

Robust, Resilient, and Reliable High-Capacity Transport Systems

  • We welcome submissions of research articles and review articles to this special issue. When submitting your paper, please select Special Issue “Robust, resilient, and reliable high-capacity transport systems” via Transportation Planning and Technology’s online Submission Portal.
  • A selection of papers from the Euro Working Group on Transportation (EWGT) 2024 in Lund, Sweden, will be invited to submit extended versions to this special issue, but the issue accepts outside submissions as well.
  • The expected publication date of this special issue is the second half of 2025. However, the accepted papers will be published online as soon as they have completed the production process and do not need to wait until all the submissions to this special issue are published.
  • Paper submission opens: 6th of Sepember, 2024
  • Paper submission deadline: 31st of January, 2025

Authors may be invited to publish in these Special Issues based on the quality and relevance of their work to the themes of these issues. The topics and submission guidelines for these Special Issues will be provided in due course, allowing authors the choice to publish their work either in Transportation Research Procedia or, if invited, in a Special Issue that aligns with their research.

The Organizing Committee is actively pursuing additional publication opportunities and will provide updates (on the website and via emails) as agreements are finalized.
